the activities and interests of students, staff, faculty, and alumni. It includes correspondence, proposals, reports, speeches,
flyers, and photographs arranged in numbered volumes.
Background
The LGBT Campus Historical Collection and Project was conducted to document and preserve the diverse experiences of lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people at UC San Diego, with the goal of filling representation gaps in the historical
record. The project was initially developed under the name "LGBT Campus Archive and History Project." Many individuals, organizations,
and institutions participated in building the collection and curating the volumes. This collection was originally housed in
white binders and maintained at the LGBT Resource Center on campus.
